At Henil we have a staff of 300 people among the slaughter and production lines which are settled in a 6.000 square meters plant in a total area of 80.000 sqm for the best quality purpose.
We have mandatory and permanent training for all staff on issues relating to good manufacturing and hygiene practices.
We have a quality control department run by professionals who oversee all the controls required by the most demanded international markets. Permanent control analysis are made in outsourced laboratories and in our own one.

We are proud to have a sophisticated water treatment plant that complies with international regulations and is constantly checked by locall authorities.

Uruguay is recognized by OIE (World organisation for Animal Health) with the following status:

Free from bovine spongiform encephalopathy and rinderpest, where the feeding of mammalian proteins and monitoring program against BSE within the framework of the OIE recommendations.

Free from footh and mouth disease with vaccination, contagious pleuropneumonia, peste des petits rumiants, sheep and goat pox and vesicular stomatitis, classical swine fever and African Horse Sickness.
